2. Community video:
The use of community video media communication is increased at each process and serves as bridge construction. Developmental communication is being undertaken at mainly 3 stages in which,
- Support to the partner organizations as per requirement
Firstly, To make the processes undertaken by each reporter more easy, effective and widespread. Moreover, more and more people get included in the program and get informed about the program.
- Use of public and social media to connect the youth group.
Secondly, to undertake the capacity building of various groups (Youth groups) who become aware of the issue of climate change in the city and thereby join the process of development of the city. Moreover, such youth groups become capable of addressing various issues such as migrant laborers, safety issues of girls, cyber crime, primary facilities, rights to education, etc.
Use
To connect the rights of citizens in Bhuj and other areas, to prepare the community reporter and undertake the production through them and bring it into the mainstream. For e.g. broadcasting of the videos through the local channels.
Under this, 35 films were produced by 25 community volunteers through which issues and solutions of Bhuj city were brought forward to the public.
During COVID-19 – Video production and film Screening
- Today’s video technology has taken over people. the initiative undertaken by the Sarpanch of Kunariya village at the time of Covid. The video was screened which was liked by the people and it remained effective.
- Films were made on such key issues and broadcasted through mobile applications like WhatsApp and YouTube. Also, the videos were telecasted on local news channels. Cablecasting of 14 videos was done on YouTube, in which 51 village youths were covered. 4 youth volunteered and joined to make the film.
- a video training and a film have also been produced, such as the living conditions of Agaria children and its main issues, and the issues of the education of old farmer youth have been included in the film. So that it was understood that in a situation like COVID-19, issues like education, and health are equal for all. While the youth earlier understood that the panchayat should only work for development and basic amenities in the village, however, they knew for the first time that the gram panchayat could shoulder the responsibility in times of epidemics.
